Getting big.....

My little Braelynne Faith is getting so big!!! I look at pictures of her when we first brought her home just four short months ago and I can't believe how much she has changed. I can't even imagine her that small anymore:( Corey says I'm totally corny but I never thought that I could/would love someone this much, she is our everything and I wouldn't change anything about her even if I could......well......I take that back...I would make her sleep through the night but that is just for my own selfish reasons:) These past few weeks we have been pretty busy; I have Sara's upcoming wedding, birthday parties and bridal showers (for another family friend). Last weekend Daddy stayed home with B (while she slept:) so mommy could go out with some friends from work....it was my office mate's last day so we all went out and had a lot of fun. Then on Sunday we had a family friend's bridal shower to go to (see pictures below) and B was very tired from not having a nap but did pretty good up until the end. She got to see all the cousins and visit with everyone. This past week G'ma Traci picked up an excersaucer from Corey's step-grandparent's who got one pretty cheap at a garage sell and as you can see in the picture above, she likes it!! Unfortunately her little arms aren't long enought to reach all the toys so she doesn't like it for long before she gets mad:) She is getting to be a little chunky butt and tomorrow we will find out just how much she weighs at her 4-month doc. appt. I will keep everyone posted on how that goes and let you know how much she has grown. Hope all is well with everyone!

HAHAHA, she is a little Taliban. Don't ask.....me and Corey get bored and dress her up to look funny. I think we wanted it to look more "gangster" but ended up looking like the Taliban:) We are weird!!!!!

Escape Artist....and simple updates

Our little escape artist!! Little Miss Braelynne Faith has started to try and escape out of her bouncy seat. I have never needed to use the straps or belts in any of her toys (ex:bouncy seat or swing) so when I left her alone in her bouncy seat for a minute, this is what I came back to! She has managed to learn how to scootch down and try to get out!! It was the cutest thing but now we know we need to start buckling her into things before walking away.

This weekend has been a little busy so far, my best friend Sara is getting married in a month or so and I threw her a bridal shower today, sorry......I managed to space off getting pics of B with everyone but it was fun and she was a good girl for a majority of the shower. She at least got to see all the girls since its been awhile and she got to play with baby Chad (before he tried to attack her:)haha, just joking, he is just ALOT bigger then her. Well that is about all we have been up to this week--our next couple of weeks are going to busy so stay tuned:) Hope all is well with everyone.

Football Sunday!!! Now that football season has started, Corey is focused on the TV for most of the weekend. Last weekend I went to run a few errands and this is what I came back to find!! She was just sitting next to him quietly watching football right along with him!!!!!! He says its educational for her:)

Today I threw my best friend Sara a bridal shower and just wanted to make an announcement saying congrats to her and JC!!! I love you guys!!!

First Food!

This week we started B on her first food, the famous rice cereal that looks and smells like glue!! At first she was having a good time playing (as you can see in the picture to the left) then mommy took the toy away and started feeding her.....this made her furious but she managed to take a couple bites and then proceeded to spit it back out:) She was however very interested in the spoon but even that didn't keep her interested for very long. Just in case some are interested, we started her on food because she has not been sleeping at night and seemed to not be getting enough food from me so we decided to try it. Since the spoon feeding didn't work out as well as I thought it would, I decided to "slip" a little in a bottle before she went to bed and make a Slurpee out of it.....which I might say SHE LOVED!!! Her little eyes got all big and she drank it down in seconds! Some have told me not to add it to the bottle and that it won't make a difference in her sleeping at night.....well, last night she slept all night!! The problem that I had though was that I read an article about SIDS right before I went to bed, so I ended up not sleeping well anyway and still got up and checked on her over a handful of times! (I wouldn't recommend reading those kind of articles before you go to bed!) So anyway, as of now we are just adding a little to her bottle until she likes the cereal a little more and doesn't spit it out automatically. We are doing well besides working a lot and being sleep deprived:) Hope everyone is doing well!! Talk to you all soon!

Sleepy girl!!!

Three months and counting.....

Little "B" is 14 weeks today!!!! I can't believe how big she has gotten and how fast the time has gone! I really do believe now when people say, "Enjoy them, they grow up fast"!! It feels like yesterday that we were in the hospital and she had just arrived. She has passed the three month mark and is becoming more vocal and moving around more; this kid can not wait to be able to get around on her own. She becomes very bored very easily so she DEMANDS constant attention! :) She is totally developing her own personality and she cracks Corey and I up everyday with something new. She has discovered her voice and can carry on a conversation for hours; she really likes Corey's Scarface poster in our bedroom, she sits and yells at it every morning while I get ready for work--she is probably saying why in the world would mommy let daddy hang a Scarface poster in the bedroom!!!!!!! I think the same thing everyday myself! Both Corey and I have been working a lot so things have been really crazy at home but we try and spend as much time as we can with B and everything else has been put on the back burner (ex: laundry, dishes, etc....) :) Right now we are just enjoying family time and trying to keep everything consistent and on a schedule for Brae--Talk to everyone soon!!!

First Family Photos

We went and got our family pictures done almost three weeks ago and we FINALLY got them back this week!! I won't be returning to the photographer due to her taking her own sweet time in getting my pics back but I do think she got some good shots! All I could think about on the days leading up to the pictures was horror stories my family has told me over the years on taking us kids (my brother, cousins and myself) to photo shoots (ex: me pooping my pants and ruining the family photo because everyones face was wrinkled by the smell:) haha, it was a little stressful just because she was tired, but we made it and got some good pictures out of it. Enjoy!!!

Pretty Girl!!! I was shocked that they got a good shot of her considering she was starving and we scheduled it right in between her nap time!

Crazy Sleeper!!!!

Can anyone explain to me how Braelynne Faith ends up upside down when we go get her in the morning?:) This little girl is a crazy sleeper; we have found her in some weird positions in the mornings!!!! As you can see in the picture, she gets out of her positioner and ends up with her head towards the end of the bed (and on top of that, she is swaddled--but has somehow started to manage to get one arm and one leg out by the time she wakes up!!!) This one is a mover!! We are in trouble when she decides to start crawling because she will be in to everything (she almost rolls over all by herself already!!!)

Everything is going well in the Wilson/Allison household, Braelynne is getting bigger and bigger and developing quite the personality!! She still seems pretty fussy at times but I think she just has her parents "punked" (for those of you that don't know what that means it means she is in control:) She knows if she cries long enough someone will give her what she wants:) Corey and I can't wait for her to be toddler, that should be a fun time!!(Not!!:) Well that's all for now, hope everyone is doing well!!

Busy weekend!

This past weekend we attended Katie Wheeler's baby shower (Her husband has been a long time friend of Corey's and she is a new found friend of mine:) Braelynne was passed around like a hot cake while everyone gave her hugs and kisses!! Surprisingly she did GREAT and only cried when she was hungry! By the time we got home we were both pooped and took a 3hour nap!!!

This past weekend Corey and I got Braelynne's first "Baby Einstein" Video. We both thought it was ridiculous and that she wouldn't like it, but we were wrong!!! The picture above says it all!!! She smiled and moved all about while she watched it (this gave Mommy a chance to do dishes!!!:) She has really become obsessed with sticking her tongue out and licking things that come into contact with it:) She is quite the character! And just in case any of you want an update on her sleeping all night long: she slept all night for three days in a row and then the last two nights has started to get up in the middle of the night again:( However, I think I may have a sick baby on my hands as I have already gotten a phone call from Papa today saying she won't eat and can't get her calmed down (I had to leave work and go help him out--needless to say I'm worried sick, but we have a doc appt in a few hours to get her checked out) Hope everyone else is doing well!!
